OUR MEDICAL TEAM
Deliberate Wellness Studio is a family-owned wellness and medical studio in Vineyard, Utah. Every medical service we offer is reviewed and overseen by a licensed physician, and our clinical services are delivered by licensed registered nurses.
How Medical Oversight Works
Every medical service at Deliberate Wellness Studio is overseen by our Medical Director, Wendy Payne, MD. What that looks like depends on the service.
Bloodwork and health panels
Labs are the easiest place to start. No consultation and no intake form — just a waiver.
1. Book and draw. Choose your panel and come in for the draw.
2. Physician review. Dr. Payne reviews your results and flags anything that needs immediate attention.
3. Results conversation. Alyssa Barrett, RN calls or texts you to walk through your results and communicate Dr. Payne's findings.
Bloodwork is a good entry point if you want data before deciding whether to pursue anything further. Plenty of people stop here.
Vitamin injections and IV drip therapy
These don't require a consultation, but they aren't self-serve either.
1. Intake form. You complete a health history and intake form before your first medical appointment.
2. Physician review. Dr. Payne reviews your health history and either approves or denies the service.
3. Nurse guidance. When she approves, Dr. Payne provides specific direction to the nurse administering your treatment. If you're pregnant or have a condition that warrants caution, she modifies the order accordingly.
This applies to in-studio IV drip therapy, mobile IV drip therapy, and intramuscular vitamin injections.
Peptide therapy, TRT, NAD+, and full protocol builds
These require a consultation with Dr. Payne.
1. Intake form. Health history and what you're hoping to address.
2. Health history review. Dr. Payne reviews your intake personally.
3. Consultation. You meet virtually with Dr. Payne to discuss your goals and history.
4. Labs, when needed. Dr. Payne determines whether bloodwork is required before proceeding. Labs are always required before starting testosterone replacement therapy, and often before peptide therapy.
5. Lab review. Dr. Payne reviews your results and determines whether the therapy is appropriate. Sometimes the answer is that it isn't, or that something else should be addressed first.
6. Dosing and orders. If it's appropriate, she discusses dosing with you and places orders through an FDA-registered compounding pharmacy.
You can't book TRT or peptides the way you book a sauna session, and that's deliberate.
What doesn't require medical review
Our wellness services are open to book directly: contrast therapy, cold plunge, infrared and traditional dry saunas, red light therapy, whole-body cryotherapy, compression therapy, and the ZeroBody dry float bed.
Mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy and localized cryotherapy for pain management also don't require a medical consultation.

Dr. Wendy Payne serves as Medical Director at Deliberate Wellness Studio, providing physician oversight for all medical services including IV drip therapy, vitamin injections, peptide therapy, testosterone replacement therapy, NAD+ injections, and bloodwork panels.

Clinical Team
Alyssa Barrett is a registered nurse and co-founder of Deliberate Wellness Studio. She leads our clinical team and administers IV therapy, injections, and other medical services.
Alyssa's path into wellness was personal before it was professional. After experiencing postpartum depression following the birth of her first child, she turned to daily cold plunging and found meaningful relief — a shift in her mental and emotional state that nothing else had produced. That experience became the foundation for what Deliberate is today.
